As of the census of 2000, there were 312 people, 125 households, and 88 families residing in the city. Thepopulation density was 185.7 people per square mile (71.7/km²). There were 136 housing units at an average density of 80.9 per square mile (31.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.47% White (0.32% Australian), 1.60% African American, 0.32% Asian, 0.96% from other races, and 0.64% from two or more races. Hispanic orLatino of any race were 1.92% of the population.
There were 125 households out of which 33.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.8% weremarried couples living together, 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.6% were non-families. 28.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
