Blades is a town in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town population was 1,241, a 29.8% increase over the previous decade. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 956 people, 353 households, and 236 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 2,201.4 people per square mile (858.4/km²). There were 393 housing units at an average density of 905.0 per square mile (352.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 69.77% White, 21.76% African American, 0.52% Native American, 1.05% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 3.97% from other races, and 2.82% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.59% of the population.
There were 353 households; out of which, 36.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.6% weremarried couples living together, 19.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.1% were non-families. 23.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 people and the average family size was 3.23 people.
