Camp Wood is a city in Real County, Texas, USA, in the Texas Hill Country, which is part of the Edwards Plateau. The population was 822 at the 2000 census.

As of the census of 2000, 822 people, 281 households, and 198 families resided in the city. The population density averaged 1,629.8/mi2(634.8/km²). The 352 housing units averaged 697.9/mi2 (271.8/km²). Theracial makeup of the city was 90.27% White, 0.12% African American, 0.97% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 6.69% from other races, and 1.58% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 39.66% of the population.
Of the 281 households, 34.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% were married couples living together, 13.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.2% were not families. About 27.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 3.19.
