Flovilla is located in southeastern Butts County at U.S. Route 23 passes through the center of the city, leading northwest 5 miles (8 km) to Jackson, the county seat, and southeast 34 miles (55 km) to Macon. There were 222 housing units at an average density of 114.0 per square mile (44.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 47.85% White, 51.53% African American, 0.15% Native American, and 0.46% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.53% of the population.
