West Point is located at (32.876452, −85.173848). According to the United States Census Bureau, this town has a total area of 4.6 square miles (12 km2), of which 4.4 square miles (11 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) (2.86%) is water. The city is located on the Alabama state line and Interstate 85, which runs northeast to southwest through the city, leading northeast 76 mi (122 km) to Atlanta and southwest 74 mi (119 km) to Montgomery, Alabama. Other highways that run through the city include U.S. Route 29, Georgia State Route 18, and Georgia State Route 103.
