Leary is a city in Calhoun County, Georgia, in the United States. The population was 618 at the 2010 census. Seattle Mariners third baseman Chone Figgins was born in Leary.

As of the census of 2000, there were 666 people, 256 households, and 176 families residing in the city. Thepopulation density was 208.8 people per square mile (80.6/km²). There were 288 housing units at an average density of 90.3 per square mile (34.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 21.47% White, 75.68% African American, 0.75% Native American, 1.35% from other races, and 0.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latinoof any race were 2.85% of the population.
There were 256 households out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 31.6% weremarried couples living together, 31.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.3% were non-families. 28.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.19.
In the city the population was spread out with 29.1% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 79.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 74.8 males.
