population density was 1,135.0 people per square mile (436.2/km²). There were 216 housing units at an average density of 586.5 per square mile (225.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 95.93%

married couples living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.2% were non-families. 31.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.24 and the average family size was 2.79.
In the village the population was spread out with 20.8% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 20.6% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 27.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 89.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.1 males.
