How I Salvaged My Water Damaged Photos

Posted last November 13, 2012, 3:04 pm in Health report article

Hurricane Sandy was much bigger than we ever imagined.  My family and I live on a barrier island outside of Atlantic city and decided to ride the storm out.  Boy were we in for a big surprise.  Strong winds, driving rains, and a rising shoreline destroyed so much of what we and our community had worked for.  My house suddenly began to flood.  My family and I moved upstairs to escape the rushing waters taking over my bottom floor.  Then I remembered all of my family photos and important documents where in a crawl space off my downstairs den!  I begged my husband to quickly grab those boxes and bring them to an upstairs bedroom.  Everything was drenched with water and debris.  I had no idea how to safely dry my precious things, so I looked online.  I was thankful to find a blog that had great tips on drying and salvaging the photos.  http://www.moldtestinginatlanta.com/index.php/atlanta-mold-testing-atlanta-mold-inspection-blog It even says what to do if taking care of your photos can't be you're number one priority during a natural disaster.
