Itasca /aɪˈtæskə/ eye-tas-kə is a city in Hill County in NorthernCentral Texas. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 1,644.

Itasca began as a railroad station for the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad in 1881, and was incorporated in 1885.City records show that between 2000-2008 more than 31,000 traffic tickets were issued.
The city is served by the Itasca Independent School District. The district has three schools, Itasca High School, Itasca Middle School, and Itasca Elementary School.
